Mrs. Shubert's final place of rest is located at Garden of Remembrance III, B-14, Space 1. ALICE PARKER SHUBERT, age 92, of Alto, GA passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at a private care facility. She was born in Habersham County, on March 12, 1917 to the late John and Bessie Gailey Parker. Mrs. Shubert was preceded in death by her husband Vermon Shubert, 9 brothers and sisters. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Survivors include son and daughter-n-law, Perry and Doris Shubert, Alto, GA; 2 grandchildren, Pondalisa Stephens, Alto, GA, Payson and Andrea Shubert, Alto, GA; 1 great-grandchild, Christian Shubert, Alto, GA; sisters, Daphine Garrett, Milledgville, GA, Yvonne White, Cave Spring, GA, Gwendolyn Wisner, Rockmart, GA; brother, Allen Hamilton Parker, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Doyal Conley and Rev. Billy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Community Missions at B.C. Grant Baptist Church, P.O. Box 456, Cornelia, GA 30531. Arrangements are in the care of the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
