Mrs. York's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill III, B-14, Space 1. ANNIE BELL ZIMMERMAN YORK, age 86 of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017. Born in Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia on June 02, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Edward Lawrence Zimmerman & Carrie Gaddie Zimmerman. Mrs. York was a quality control inspector with Yonah Realty Company for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, soap operas, & traveling to the mountains. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph James York, brother, John Zimmerman; sisters, Lois Zimmerman, Ruby Zimmerman, Irene Zimmerman, Ruth Moore, & Lucille Jones Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, Edward & Velvet York of Murfreesboro, TN, Michael & Ann-Denise York of Cornelia, GA; grandchildren, Lynn Hatton (Karl) of Greenville, IL, Christie Dunlap (Billy) of Rock Island, TN, Amy Gosnell (Randy) of Mt. Airy, GA, Timothy York (Nikki) of Gulf Shores, AL, Sean York (Christina) of Mt. Airy, GA; Haley Evans (Samuel) of Murfreesboro, TN, Katie Scott (Jacob) of Murfreesboro,TN; 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, sister, Louise Grant of New Mexico; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends at The Oaks @ Scenic View, & NGMT. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday.
