Mr. Tench's final place of rest is located at Garden of Remembrance IV, F-10, Space 3. Benny Tench, age 76, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Tench was born on March 15, 1942 in Clarkesville, Georgia to the late Babe and Birdie Tench. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Ruby Nell Tench; brothers, Wayne Tench, Gerald Tench, and James Randolph Tench. Mr. Tench was a member of Harvest Christian Church. He was retired from the Habersham County Board of Education. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Steve Mann, of Washington, GA; Bonnie and Scott Sanders, of Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Jeanette Tench, of Clarkesville; Randy and Angie Tench, of Clarkesville; brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Kim Tench, of Toccoa; grandchildren, Andie Bridges and spouse, Marc; Caitlin Mann; Jared Tench; Amber Loudermilk, and spouse, Rob; Cole Tench; Dustin Sanders; great-grandchildren, Baylie Bridges and Averie Bridges. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Larry Ryals and Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Rick Cox officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 8, 2018 at the funeral home.
