Mrs. Dalton's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill I, H-6, Space 4. Betty Lavern Dalton, age 82, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021. Mrs. Dalton was born in Clarkesville, Georgiaon October 5, 1938, to the late Barney and Willie Pearl Watkins.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lanell Woodall.She was of the Baptist faith.During her working career, Mrs. Dalton had served as a payroll accountant for Boyle Midway and later as a telephone operator for Standard Telephone. Survivors include:her beloved husband of62 years, Telford Dalton, Sr., Demorest, Georgia;Son, Telford Dalton Jr. and his wife, Karen, Demorest, Georgia;two sisters, Janice Lovell, Clarkesville, Georgia and Elaine Rumple, Safe Harbor, Florida; a brother, Wayne Watkins, Clarkesville, Georgia; a grandson, Jacob Dalton and two 2 step-grandchildren, Scott Williams and Megan Williams. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
