Betty Petitt

Mrs. Petitt's final place of rest is at Sunset Hill IV, C-14, Space 1. Betty Ruth Petitt, age 83, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Mrs. Petitt was born on November 29, 1937, in Habersham County, to the late Willie Williams and Cleo Grace Allen Adams. She was a retired nurse and a member of The Seventh-day Adventist Church. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, G.W. Williams and Jerry Williams; sons-in-law, Danny Henson and Terry Allison. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Lum (L.G.) Petitt, Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Beverly Autry, Cleveland, Mark and Luanne Petitt, Fletcher, North Carolina, and Greg and Sharon Petitt, Cleveland; daughters, Rachel Henson, Morganton, North Carolina, and Trena Allison, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Tommy Turner, Cleveland; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Waters will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday September 24, 2021 at the funeral home.
