Mrs. Skelton's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah I, I-13, Space 3. Betty Warren Skelton, age 85, of Cornelia, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 21, 2017 following a brief illness .Mrs. Skelton was born on May 5, 1932 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Cleve and Rilla Wilson Warren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Monroe Warren. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia. Mrs. Skelton was retired from Ethicon, a division of the Johnson & Johnson Company with 43 years of loyal and dedicated service. Survivors include her beloved husband of 45 years, Chester L. Skelton, of Cornelia; and several cousins. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Terry Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Dr. Eric Spivey officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, May 22, 3017 and from 10:00 a.m. to the service hour at the funeral home.
