Carolyn Bellamy

Mrs. Bellamy's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill II, A-24, Space 3. Carolyn Bowen Bellamy, age 76 of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Born on August 2, 1942 to the late William H. “Bill” and Alma Stewart Bowen. She retired from sales with both Standard Telephone and Community Bank and Trust. Mrs. Bellamy enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren, listening to country and gospel music, going to flea markets and shopping. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Bowen; sister, Carol Elrod. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Buck Bellamy of Mt. Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Rhodonna Bellamy of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda & Tommy Gray of Mt. Airy; grandchildren and spouse, Lauren & Jake Siler, Kelsie Gray, Kylie Gray; brother and sister-in-law, Talford & Elsie Bowen of Demorest; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 pm, Friday, December 28, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Chris Webb and Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
