Mr. Miller's final place of rest is at Sunset Hill II, A-1, Space 2. CHARLES MAX MILLER, II, age 78, of Cornelia, Georgia, died Monday, March 31, 2008 at the Lanier Park Hospital. Mr. Miller was born on May 31, 1929 to the late Charles Max, Sr. and Cleo Barr Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Golden Miller. Mr. Miller was a United States Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Cornelia United Methodist Church; there he was teacher (and member) of the Men's Bible Class for 22 years. Mr. Miller was a member of the Cornelia Masonic Lodge #92 F. & A.M. and the Yarrab Shrine Temple. He was a member of the Cornelia Kiwanis Club; there he was a member of the Board of Directors and was Past President. Mr. Miller was a Scout Master for Boy Scouts of America Troup #24 in Cornelia for 15 years. Survivors include: his daughter: Julia Miller, Knoxville, TN; his sons: Charles Max Miller, III, Cornelia, GA; Christopher Mark Miller, Jasper, GA; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from the Cornelia United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Boy Scout Troop #24, P.O. Box 415, Baldwin, GA 30511. ARRANGEMENTS ARE IN THE CARE OF WHITFIELD FUNERAL HOME, SOUTH CHAPEL, BALDWIN, GEORGIA.
