Mrs. Dodd's final place of rest is located at Garden of Devotion I, M-5, Space 1. CLARA MCCONNELL DODD, age 85 of the Hollywood Community, Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 03, 2018.Born in Hiawassee, Georgia on November 17, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Mae Burch McConnell. Mrs. Dodd was a textile worker with Lakemont Manufacturing for a number of years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Major Dodd; brother, Horace McConnell. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Wallace & Delorace Dodd of Clarkesville; daughter, Anita Bookmiller of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Tori Potts & Zach Potts, Brittany Bookmiller, Jeff Arrowood and Tracey Arrowood; 13 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; sister, Nellie M. Sutton of Homer; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am Saturday, October 6, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Larry Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
