Cora Ansley

Mrs. Ansley's final place of rest is located at Yonah II, M-7, Space 1. Mrs. Cora Lee Ansley, age 85, of Clarkesville, Georgia went to her Heavenly home on Monday, June 24, 2024. Mrs. Ansley was born in Clarkesville, Georgia to the late Henry and Alda Moody. She was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Linburgh Ansley, sister, Inis Crumley, grandchild, Zachary Ansley and great grandchild, Dawson Ansley. Mrs. Ansley was a very loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was very dedicated to being a big part of her grandchildren's lives by attending a lot of their activities. She was well known in her community for her delicious cakes. Survivors include daughters, Terri (Donnie) Brock, of Cornelia; Linda (Keith) Deyton, of Clarkesville; sons, Chris (Pennie) Ansley, of Clarkesville; Tim (Dana) Ansley, of Cleveland; sisters, Evelyn Crocker, of Alto; Diane Heimberger, of Baldwin; Wanda Dills, of Alto; brothers, Ernest Moody, of Alto; Larry Joe Moody, of Alto; ten grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel. The Rev. Terry Rice will officiate. Interment will follow at the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel. The family would like to say a very special thank you to Grace Higgins and all the caregivers for all the compassionate care and love for the many years Mrs. Ansley was at Graceful Care.
