David Lamar "Cowboy" Kimbrell

Mr. Kimbrell's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah II, K-7, Space 1. David Lamar "Cowboy" Kimbrell, age 59, of Mt. Airy, GA, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Kimbrell was born on April 1, 1950, in Habersham County, GA to John Marion and Ethel Skelton Kimbrell. He was preceded in his death by his father, John Marion Kimbrell and his brother, Ronald Floyd Kimbrell. Mr. Kimbrell was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and was also a disabled veteran. Survivors include his mother, Ethel Skelton Kimbrell, Cornelia, GA and 2 brothers, Marion Dwayne Kimbrell and John Durrell Kimbrell both of Demorest, GA. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the Habersham County American Legion Post # 84, Rabun County DAV Chapter 15 and the Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720.
