Dewey Cochran

Mr. Cochran's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill IV, C-12, Space 4. DEWEY W. COCHRAN, age 69, of Demorest, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 following an extended illness. Mr. Cochran was born on October 10, 1946 in Clarke County, Georgia to the late Dallas and Retha Andrews Cochran. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Gwendolyn R. (Wendy) Cochran and siblings. Mr. Cochran was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict having served in The United States Marines. He was a long time employee of Food Service Equipment, Gainesville, Georgia and later formed his own company, Dewey Cochran Refrigeration (DCR). Survivors include his son, Dr. Sean K. Cochran, DMD, Gainesville, GA; daughters, Heather Bowen Lindquist, New York, NY, Erin Mikaela Cochran, Demorest, GA; and siblings. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with family and friends officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by Grant Reeves VFW Post 7720, Rabun County DAV Chapter 15, Habersham County American Legion 84, and United States Marines.The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habersham County American Legion Post #84, P.O.
