Mr. Ballew's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill III, D-12, Space 4. Donald Wayne Ballew, age 64 of Alto, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Habersham Medical Center. Born in Jackson County, Georgia, on July 24, 1950, he was a son of the late Ed and Ella Mae Moore Ballew. Mr. Ballew was a retired textile worker and of the Holiness faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ballew was also preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Ballew; granddaughter, Mallory Ballew; brother, Lewis Ballew and sister, Thelma Ballew. Surviving are loving wife, Reda Ballew of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Kristy Ballew of Alto; grandchildren, Tyler, Nolan , and Ian Ballew; brother, L. P. Ballew. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Saturday, December 27, 2014, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Dr. Don Samples, Rev. Sanford Kimbrell, and Rev. Kendall Mann officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Friday.
