Mr. Maney's final place of rest is at Sunset Hill III, D-8, Space 3. DONNIE LEE MANEY, age 55, of Atlanta, GA, and formerly of Cornelia, GA, died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. Maney was born on August 23, 1952 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Sterling and Margaret Cochran Maney. He was a member of the First Metropolitan Community Church. Mr. Maney was a commercial engineer with Cendant Hotel Franchise. Survivors include: his sister and brother-in-law: Peggy and Joe Smelcer, Cornelia, GA; his brother and sister-in-law: James and Darla Maney, Mt. Vernon, WA; Special Friend: William Payne, Atlanta, GA; his nieces: Lisa Harper, Cornelia, GA; Darcie Koski, Salt Lake City, UT; his nephews: Joey Smelcer, Cornelia, GA; Darin Maney, Alexander, VA. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with Rev. Swayne Cochran and Rev. Brian James officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
