Mrs. Parker's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill IV, D-4, Space 1. DOROTHY MAE PARKER, age 93, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Oaks at Scenic View. Mrs. Parker was born on November 9, 1921 in Stephens County, Georgia to the late Mamie Estelle Brady Caudell. She was of the Holiness Faith. In addition to her mother she is preceded in death by her husband, Julius Roark (J.R.) Parker; brother, Alvin Caudell; daughter, Elaine Gilbert; son, Allard Parker; brother, Alvin Caudell; sister, Jennie Elliott; grandchildren, Cindy Bond Poole, and Ricky Parker. Survivors include daughters, Estelle Carter, Gainesville, GA., Betty Hart, Carnesville, GA., Charlotte Hansard, Alto, GA.; sons, George Parker, Alto, GA., Michael Parker, Baldwin, GA., sisters, Elizabeth Lee, Toccoa, GA., Doris Coker, Toccoa, GA.; brother, Billy Caudell, Alto, GA.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2014.
