Ethel Morris

Mrs. Morris' final place of rest is at Garden of Yonah II, M-12, Space 1. Ethel Dalton Morris, age 87, of Cornelia, GA, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Habersham County Medical Center. Mrs. Morris was born on December 20, 1921 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Archie and Mary Jane Brock Dalton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Morris, her brothers, Tommy Dalton and James Wilton Dalton and her sister, Agnes Poole. Mrs. Morris was a member of the Level Grove Baptist Church and was a member of the Sunshine Band at her church. She delivered Meals on Wheels for a number of years and was employed with Runway Fish House for a number of years. Mrs. Morris was employed with Carwood Manufacturing with 31 years of service and retired from Ethicon with 17 years of service. Survivors include: her sisters: Gladys Poole, Baldwin, GA; Edna Gary, Cornelia, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2009 from the Level Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Rice and Rev. Brian James officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, from 5 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
