Eva Shore

Mrs. Shore's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah II, G-9, Space 1. Eva Shore, age 99, of Cornelia, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 7, 2017. Mrs. Shore was born on July 31, 1918 in Greenville, SC to the late Morgan and Nannie Boling Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy R. Shore, Sr.; grandson, Guy Shore III; sisters, Beulah Burton, Evelyn Baldwin, Agnes Pennington; brothers, Charles Smith, and Henry Smith. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cornelia, the WMU, the Round Table, and the Eastern Star Chapter 480. Mrs. Shore was a volunteer with Sharing and Caring, the American Red Cross Blood Bank, and was a poll worker for the View Voting District. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dinah and Henry Burrows III of Prattville, AL; daughter, Anna Coffee of Cornelia, GA; son and daughter-in-law, G. Reynolds and Sandy Shore of Toccoa, GA; sister, Dorothy Griffith of Simpsonville, SC; brother, Robert Smith of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren and spouses: Wayne and Stacy Sexton, Casey and Sawyer Coffee, Suni and David Cawthon, and Dianna and Gelaine Shore; grandchildren: Michelle Belvins and Leslie Coffee; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Anthony Shore and Dr. Rick Quarles officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell officiating and graveside rites by the Eastern Star.
