Faunnell Haney

Mrs. Haney's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill II, C-14, Space 1. Faunnell “Skipper” Haney, age 79, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at The Oaks in Baldwin, Georgia. Mrs. Haney was born on August 20, 1938, in Hiawassee, Georgia; a daughter of the late Odis M. and Lela A. Benfield Hopper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James V. Haney, Sr.; stepson, James V. Haney, Jr.; and brothers, Jack Hopper and Joe Hopper. Mrs. Haney was a high school graduate and worked for Scovill Manufacturing. She was a member of Old Nacoochee Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Haney was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend to many. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and James Stipe of Paris, Arizona; stepdaughter, Terri Hayne of Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott E. and Michele Lee of Westminster, Colorado and Robert E. and Kinsey Lee of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sisters, Jeri Brinkman and Wanda Vandiver, both of Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, James and Linda Hopper of Baldwin; 8 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Old Nacoochee Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Joel Shadburn and Rev Jim Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service from 1-2 pm on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the church.
