Faye Howell Watson

Mrs. Watson's final place of rest is located in Garden of Calvary, K-3, Space 1. Uner Faye Howell Watson, age 75, of Gainesville, formerly of Habersham County, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Born on November 27, 1948, in Tate, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Ralph Howell and Lillie Mae Jordan Mullinax. Mrs. Watson worked at Duck Head for many years and was of the Non-Denominational faith. She was fond of camping, fishing, and going to the mountains and beach. She also liked to sew and crochet, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merrell Watson; son, Tommy Carroll; and brothers, Junior Howell and Leonard Howell. Survivors include her children: John Carroll, Carolyn Shockley, Michael Gooch, Ann Ledda (Vittorio), Michelle Wood (Scotty), Cresy Pendley, and Robin Watson; grandchildren: Anthony Geirrein, Amber Palmer, Misty Brookshire (Jeremy), Matthew Wood (Chelsea), Tiffany Laporte (Aydan), Ashley Garrett (Keith), Emily Bruce (Coley), Kassidy Wood, Alexis Carroll, Carley Wood, Shania Carroll, Destinee Carroll, Shellie Gooch, Brianna Cunningham (Matthew), and Jeremy Allison; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn Howell; and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
