Gemilda Reynolds

Mrs. Reynolds' final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah I, D-9, Space 3. Gemilda Ruth Reynolds Cantrell, age 85 of Cornelia, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016.Born in Young Harris, Georgia on March 13, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Lee and Florence Lucinda Emerson Reynolds. Mrs. Reynolds retired from Wal-Mart in Gainesville as a cashier with 25 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed eating, gardening and working in her yard. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her companion, Lee Young Lewallen; and a son, Jerry Ray Cantrell. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Elaine Cantrell of Clermont; daughter, Debbie Cantrell Hill of Gainesville; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral services are 2 pm Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell and Rev. Larry Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
