Mrs. Maney's final place of rest is at Garden of Devotion I, N-10, Space 2. IRENE MANEY, age 82 of Cornelia, died Wednesday, September 05, 2007 at a private care facility. Mrs. Maney was born in Banks Co. GA on December 5, 1924 to the late Roe Richard and Roise White Maney. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Voice, A. B., Rad, Milus, and Jewell Maney. Mrs. Maney retired from Carwood Mfg. as a seamstress and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Survivors include: her sisters: Willie Ree Dorsey, Cornelia, GA; Winnie Gabrels, Clarkesville, GA; her brothers: Robert Maney, Atlanta, GA; Monroe Maney, Atlanta, GA; Richard Maney, Cornelia, GA; Clyde Maney, Cornelia, GA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2007 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Bobby Griffin and Rev. Luther Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
