Mrs. Rogers' final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah II, G-13, Space 3. GRACE SULLIVAN ROGERS, age 87, of Commerce and formerly of Cornelia, GA passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Mrs. Rogers was born in Blairsville, GA on June 2, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Richard B. and Florida Hood Sullivan. Mrs. Rogers was also preceded in death by her husband, Guerry Rogers. She was a graduate of Union County High School, a member of the Demorest Church of God and a Homemaker. Mrs. Rogers was a loving; caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be missed dearly. Survivors include daughter, Diane Nation, Homer, GA; sons, Donnie Rogers, Lula, GA and David Rogers, Commerce, GA; sisters, Maxine Stephens, Aiken, SC and Dorothy Spivey, Blairsville, GA; brother, Hoke Sullivan, SC; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Frances Bray, Etowa, TN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 16, 2010 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Rev. Leon Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.The Rogers family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
