Grady Tench

Mr. Tench's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah I, E-19, Space 2. Grady C. Tench, age 92, of Demorest, Georgia, went to be with Lord on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Mr. Tench was born on January 7, 1928, in Habersham County, Georgia, to the late George and Laura Tench Tench.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Hicks Tench.Mr. Tench was a member and Deacon Emeritus at the Habersham Baptist Church. He was an United States Army veteran.Mr. Tench retired from Clarkesville Mill with forty two years of loyal and dedicated service and was a former Demorest CityCouncilman for over twenty-four years.He was an avid golfer. Survivors include:son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Joan Tench, Demorest, Georgia;son, Stephen Tench, Demorest, Georgia;granddaughter and her husband, Stefanieand JohnAbbott;great grandsons, Jesse Abbott and Jacob Abbott. Private funeral services will be held at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest,Georgia.Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the United States Army Honor Guard amd the Grant Reeves Veteran's Honor Guard.
