Mr. Weber's final place of rest is at Sunset Hill I, D-18, Space 2. Harold George Weber, Sr., age 93, of Clarkesville, GA, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2007. Born in Scranton, PA, on July 18, 1914, a son of the late Otto Weber and Sarah Elizabeth Weber. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Irene Weber, on January 28, 2005. A World War II veteran, Harold served in the United States, 82nd Airborne Division in the European Theatre and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was discharged from the Army in January 1946, having achieved the rank of First Lieutenant. Harold pursued a career in the field of electronics and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church and was an active volunteer at the Habersham County Medical Center Nursing Home. He was a kind, gentle and loving man who "knew no stranger." He lived his life to the fullest serving God and the needs of his fellow man. His precious smile, cheerful manner and encouraging words will be missed by all whose lives he has touched. His love and concern for others knew no boundaries. His tender and tireless care for his beloved wife in her time of illness gave definition to both love and devotion to those who witnessed. He was the man that God asks that we all be. He gave so much to so many and asked for so little in return.
