Mrs. Anderson's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah I, E-11, Space 3. Hazel Turner Anderson, age 93, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Mrs. Anderson was born on March 23, 1925 to the late Benjamin F. Turner and Joy Turner Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. Anderson; and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Anderson was a member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia where she was a member of the 3-L Sunday School Class, Helping Hands, and Round Table. She was retired from Chicopee Manufacturing. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Herman Benfield, of Cornelia; Gail and Reggie Haslett, of Eatonton; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Lynn Anderson, of Gainesville; sisters, Vera Mae Ayers, of Eastonollee; Trudy and Joe Nichols, of Eastonollee; Jean and Ray Rampy, of Liberty, SC; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. David Turner and Dr. Eric Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May, 2, 2018 at the funeral home.
