Mrs. Chosewood's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill IV, G-5, Space 3. Hazel Kimsey Chosewood, age 81 of Alto, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014. Born in St. Petersburg, Florida on February 24, 1933, she was a daughter of the late James Henry and Savannah English Kimsey. Mrs. Chosewood was retired from Liberty Mutual Life Insurance Company of Gainesville. She was a former member of Alto Baptist Church and a current member of Enon Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher at both Alto Baptist and Enon Baptist. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Raymond T. Chosewood; brothers, Earl and Johnny Kimsey; sister, Lucy Mae Wright. Surviving are daughter, Kathy C. Tart of Cornelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan C. and Dan Tomlin of Demorest, Gail C. and Carey,Sr. Gordon of Alto, Pamela C. and Henry Rowe of Murphy NC, Cheryl C. and Jeff McGahee of Baldwin; sons and daughters-in-law, R. Lance and Jane Chosewood of Stockbridge, GA and Rex T. and Leah Chosewood of Alto; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; sister, Margie K. Lawson of Cornelia. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Yonah Memorial Gardens. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to a church or charity of one’s choice.
