Mr. Nix's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah I, E-1, Space 4. Funeral services for Henry L. "Hank" Nix, age 92 of Clarkesville will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from the Clarkesville First United Methodist Church. Rev. Brian Butler will officiate with Interment will follow the service in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by the United States Navy, the Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720, American Legion Post 84 and DAV Chapter #15. Mr. Nix passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017. Born on August 18, 1924 in Bruson, South Carolina, Mr. Nix was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Nix and Beulah Nix Ayer. He was a member of Clarkesville United Methodist Church and was retired from United Merchants & Manufacturers - Clarkesville Mills as a Maintenance and Engineering Manager. Mr. Nix was a United States Navy, World War II Veteran. In addition to his parents Mr. Nix is preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Nix, brother Thomas J. Nix, Jr. and sister Mary Ellen Nix Rivers.
