Mr. Allen is located at SSH 4I-6 Sp 2 Howard Guy Allen, age 88 of Demorest, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 following a period of declining health Born in Otto, North Carolina on March 16, 1933, he was the son of the late Eva Fry King. Howard had 18 years of service at Clarkesville Mill, and later was a field representative for Fieldale Farms. Howard was owner and operator of Camp Creek Grocery for many years. Mr. Allen was a 50 year member of Clarkesville Masonic Lodge #325 F&AM and was the former chair of deacons, a Sunday school teacher and faithful member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church. Howard was also a magistrate judge sworn in by Judge Gunter for 10 years. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Terrie Allen Willis, brothers, Gary Franklin Allen & Wayne King Allen. Survivors include wife, Lena Marie Pitts Allen of Demorest; son & daughter-in-law, Randy & Freida Allen of Clarkesville, GA; son-in-law, Jack Willis of Atlantic Beach, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, & extended family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Trent Smith and Rev. Billy Burrell officiating.Interment with Masonic Rights will follow the service at Yonah Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 6-8 PM.
