Mr. Jamerson's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill II, A-22, Space 2 Jesse Doyle Jamerson, Sr., age 81, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 following an extended illness. Mr. Jamerson was born on March 11, 1941 in Banks County, Georgia to the late J.D. and Leola Jamerson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Connie Jamerson; sisters, Ann Moore, of Cleveland; Mattie Jean Armour, of Alto. Mr. Jamerson was a member of Yonah Congregational Holiness Church. He was an avid Bible reader, and had completely read the Bible 160 times in 13 years. He also enjoyed working Sudoku puzzles. Jesse had retired from Warren Featherbone Company in Gainesville with 47 years of dedicated service; during his time there he became an avid tomato gardener (no relation to his job duties) that brought a lot of business to the company. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel at 1370 Industrial Boulevard, Baldwin, Georgia 30511.
