John Arlin Hembree

Mr. Hembree's final place of rest is located at Garden of Honor, H-11, Space 2. John Arlin Hembree, age 94 of Clarkesville, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hembree was born July 21, 1925 in Douglasville to the late Charlie and Minnie Norton Hembree. John was a Veteran of the United States Army and was retired from General Motors, where worked as a forklift operator. He was a member of The Church of Christ in Clarkesville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalyn Williford Hembree. Survivors include his daughters and spouses, Laurie and Lewis Williamson; Faye and Ronald Ludman; Deborah Gagne; grandchildren and spouses, John and Jalita Williamson, Lindy and Don Brice, Brandy and Chris Boyd, Harley and Heather Hubbard, Claire and Michael Davenport; great grandchildren, Hunter, Dakota, Matthew, Nathan, Chris, Cody, Kelsi, Katie, Carden, Aurelia, Penelope, Elias, Clayton, Hunter, Payton; great-great grandchildren, Kaylen and Paislee. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, October 17, 2019 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Minister Martin Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah Memorial Gardens.
