Mrs. Southerland's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill III, C-10, Space 3. Juanita Watkins Southerland, age 91, of Cleveland, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Habersham Medical Center following a battle with COVID-19. Mrs. Southerland was born on July 7, 1929 in Franklin County, Georgia to the late W.T. Watkins and Stella Stamey Watkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, J.C. Southerland; son, Michael Southerland; and brother-in-law, Cleties Crowe. Mrs. Southerland was the oldest living member of White Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Wallace and Karol Southerland, of St. Clair Shores, MI; Richard and Laura Southerland, of Cleveland; daughter-in-law, Sharon Southerland; sister, Rachel Crowe, of Lawrenceville; grandson, Perry James Southerland,; and granddaughter, Delcie Frazier. Due to the current conditions related to COVID-19, Private Graveside Services will be held at Yonah Memorial Gardens.
