Kerry Dunlap

Mrs. Dunlap's final place of rest is located at Garden of Remembrance II, E-13, Space 1. Kerry Southard Dunlap, age 60 of Cornelia, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018. Born in Demorest, Georgia on April 20, 1958 she was a daughter of the late Boyd Southard and Ruth Anderson Southard. Mrs. Dunlap enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Chloe, beach trips, the mountains, traveling, dirt track racing and her cats, Charlie and Lindsay. She was the owner and operator of Dunlap Cleaning Service for 29 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a special aunt and uncle that raised her, Bernice and Carl Caudell. Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Ronnie Dunlap of Cornelia; daughters and son-in-law, Jenny & Scott Jarrett of Toccoa and Hannah Dunlap of Cornelia; granddaughter, Chloe Jarrett; stepchildren, Lee Dunlap and Kechara Garita both of Cornelia, Brittany Moreno of Alto, and Alexandria Frankum of Clarkesville; ten step grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred & Phyllis Johnson of Baldwin, Mike & Joyce Southard of Grayson, Jerry & Kathryn Southard of Canton, North Carolina; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine & Keith Smith of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Tammy & Bob Rankin of Clarkesville; special cousin and caregiver, Sandra Anderson of Alto; caregivers, Tonya Elrod and Kayla Arnold; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Monday, August 13, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Jerrell Beatty, Rev. Tony Elrod, and Rev. Lamar Kastner officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
