Mrs. Gabrels' final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah II, T-3, Space 1. Leatrice Gabrels, age 85, of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018. Mrs. Gabrels was born on December 24, 1932 in Habersham County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Thelma Daniel; sister, Loretta Chastain; and nephew, Kenneth Chastain. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Garnett Gabrels, of Demorest; daughter, Lesa Gabrels, of Dacula; sisters, Monteen Waldron, of Demorest; Loretta Wade, of Demorest; brothers, Loyd Daniel, of Demorest; Sparky Daniel, of Demorest; James Daniel, of Parrish, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Connie Berry officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel prior to the service.
