Mrs. Moody's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill II, A-17, Space 1. Lorene Palmer Moody, age 90, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016.Mrs. Moody was born on September 12, 1926 in Habersham County, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wiley Robert and Effie Herrin Palmer; husband, James Henry Moody; son, Ronald Moody; grandson, Kevin Greemon; sister, Evelyn Jarrells; brothers, Howard Palmer and Chester Palmer; and daughter-in-law, Ovelean Moody. Mrs. Moody was of the Holiness Faith. She was a homemaker, and was formerly employed with the Fabric Shop and Family Dollar Store. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ricky Greemon, of Baldwin; son, Ted Moody, of Cornelia; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Vickie Moody, of Clarkesville; Danny and Jullie Moody, of Cornelia; sister, Frances Farmer, of Toccoa; daughter-in-law, Sandra Moody, of Alto; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Anthony Shore officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tim Griffin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the funeral home.
