Louis Franklin Kennedy, Jr.

Mr. Kennedy's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah II, O-4, Space 3. Louis Franklin Kennedy, Jr., of Smyrna, passed away on December 18, 2016. He was born November 16, 1935, to Evelyn Wheat Kennedy and Louis Franklin Kennedy in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a graduate of Chamblee High School, Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and served as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, First Baptist Church in Americus, First Baptist Church in Norcross, Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany and First Baptist Church in Smyrna. He then became a piano technician, serving churches and homes over thirty years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann Sullivan Kennedy; daughter Jill Cheatham and husband Tommy; son Jeff Kennedy; granddaughters Carolynn Goerke and husband James; Katherine Zhou and husband Wayne; Anna Kennedy; Kristina Kennedy and Leah Kennedy; sisters Karen King and Mary Anne Underwood; sister in law Beth Sullivan. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 10:00 am at Carmichael Funeral Home, Smyrna, with Dr. Ron Bradley officiating. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest, GA.
