Mr. Wiley's final place of rest is located at Garden of Remembrance 1, F-7, Space 2. Luther Wiley, age 91 of Alto, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015, at his residence. Born in Hall County on October 14, 1923, he was a son of the late Frank Wiley and Blanche Davidson Wiley. Mr. Wiley was worked in heating and air at Mt. Vernon Mills. He was a member of Alto Congregational Holiness Church and enjoyed gardening and hunting. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Thomas Wiley; sisters, Willie May Jones, Hassie Stanley, Della Shore, and Peggy Jean Bryant. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Pat & John D. Flanagan and Lisa & Dennis Rogers all of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Robert & Mary Wiley of Flower Branch; sisters, Vienna Masters of Alto, Molly Helton of Cleveland, and Merle Freeman of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Raymond Wiley, Bryan Jordan, Chris Wiley, Samantha Holcomb, Alisha Turner, and Brandon Crumley; great grandchildren, Cody Nix, Logan Nix, Dylan Holcomb, Mason Holcomb, Hadley Mae Crumley, Judd Crumley, MacKenzie Wiley, Mason Wiley, and Justin Jordan. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Monday, March 16, 2015, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Pastor Scott Ledbetter and Rev. Sanford Kimbrell officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Sunday.
