Mrs. Frye's final place of rest is located at Yonah II< E-18, Space 3. Mary Cloid Thacker Frye, age 84 of Clarkesville, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024. A lifelong resident of Habersham County, Mrs. Frye was the daughter of the late James H. and Lillian Stella Shore Thacker. She served as secretary at Clarkesville Baptist Church and Hollywood Baptist Church for over twenty-one years. Mrs. Frye enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She was a member of Clarkesville Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frye is preceded in death by husband Jack Frye, brother Jim Thacker and sister Miranda Sparks. Survivors include daughter Salena Burke of Demorest, son and daughter in law Dexter and Terri Frye of Cleveland, brother and sister-in-law Max and Gloria Thacker of Mt. Airy, grandchildren Lisa Morris, Nathan Burke and Anna Webb (Blake), as well as several great grandchildren and extended family. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. James Harper and Rev. Grady Walden, officiating. Interment will follow the service in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 PM.
