Mrs. Stewart's final place of rest is located at Honor, I-11, Space 1. Mary Blon Stewart, age 89, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021. Mrs. Stewart was born on March 11, 1932, in Towns County, to the late Barnett and Ester Partin Denton. She was a homemaker and a member of Upper Hightower Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Stewart Survivors include her daughters, Janice Stewart, Hiawassee, GA and Carolyn Blair, Tiger, GA; brother, Austin Stewart, Tiger, GA; sister, Della Dickard, Greenville, SC; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 19, 2021 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home The Rev. W.A. Jenkins will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Friday prior to the funeral service.
