Mary Frances Ward

Mrs. Ward's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah II, G-1, Space 1. Mary Frances "Francine" Bellamy Ward, age 88, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017. Mrs. Ward was born on May 10, 1929, in Homer, Georgia; a daughter of the late Emmitt P. and Gladys McDuffie Bellamy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Chandler L. Ward; brothers: James, C.T., and Roger Bellamy; and sisters: Jo Ann Coker, Patsy Trotter, and Ruth Barrett. Mrs. Ward retired from Mount Vernon Mills with 26 years of service. Francine was a member of Lamar Christian Church and Ladies Loving Sunday School Class. Survivors include her sister, Shirley Wilkinson, Cornelia; brothers, Bob Bellamy, Baldwin and Buck Bellamy, Mt. Airy; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Pastor Chad Holcomb and Pastor Bill Moody officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, July 28, 2017, at the funeral home.
