Monteen Trotter

Mrs. Trotter's final place of rest is at Garden of Remembrance II, A-5, Space 1. Monteen Meadows Trotter, age 91, of Clarkesville, Georgia, died Monday, February 9, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Trotter was born on May 4, 1917 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late James Nolan and Bertha Purdy Meadows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Peyton Trotter and her sons, Larry I. Trotter and Clyde P. Trotter, Jr. Mrs. Trotter was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include: her daughter: Brenda T. Burrell, Clarkesville, GA; her sons: Charles P. Trotter, Trion, GA; James W. Trotter, Leveyon Trotter, and Tommy L. Trotter, all of Clarkesville, GA; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Kenneth McEntire and Rev. Tim Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the North Chapel from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
