Nettie Cash

Mrs. Cash's final place of rest is located at Garden of Remembrance III, D-15, Space 1. Nettie Ben Wilmot Cash, age 90, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015.Mrs. Cash was born on September 16, 1925, in Thomasville, North Carolina, to the late Plumer Durant and Vivian McFarlin Wilmot. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Cash and brother, Durant Wilmot. Mrs. Cash was a member of Cornelia Christian Church. She was a graduate of Piedmont College with a Bachelors Degree. After completing college, Mrs. Cash taught school in Lavonia for 2 years, and then married Dennis Cash to become a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a loving and kind person who was loved by everyone who knew her. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Sue Cash, Lake Spivey, GA; son, Ben Cash, Mt. Airy, GA; sister, Madeline Goodlett, Gainesville, FL; several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with David Terrell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
