Nora Mae Barrett

Mrs. Barrett's final place of rest is located at Garden of Remembrance II, B-8, Space 1. Nora Mae Burch Barrett, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 following an extended illness. Mrs. Barrett was born on August 8, 1920 in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late Oren and Celia Barrett Burch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Barrett; and five siblings. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church. She was retired from Orbit Manufacturing. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lucille and Leon Brown, of Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and LaBrada Barrett, of Clarkesville; Larry and Betty Barrett, of Flowery Branch; Ricky and Judy Barrett, of Clarkesville; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Keith Allison and Rev. Kyle Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, October 9, 2017 at the funeral home.
