Ouida Hardy

Mrs. Hardy's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah II, F-4, Space 3. Ouida Kimbrell Hardy, age 89, of Cornelia, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at her residence. Born in Banks County on October 6, 1924, she was a daughter of the late George Kimbrell and Martha Elizabeth Ward Kimbrell. Mrs. Hardy was retired from Yonah Realty and was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed cooking, especially baking, shopping and sewing. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hardy was also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lyle Hardy; son, Curtis Wayne Hardy; son-in-law, Robert Strickland; brothers, Jack and Blanton Kimbrell; sisters, Christine Dill and Joyce Kimbrell; grandson, Tracy Strickland. Survivors include daughter, Carolyn Strickland of Mt. Airy; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and John Still of Cornelia; brothers, James and Bradley Kimbrell both of Mt. Airy; sisters, Geraldine Hunt of Toccoa and Mary Faye Brookshire of Demorest; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
