Mr. Barrett's final place of rest is at Garden of Remembrance II, G-7, Space 2. Phillip Barrett, age 70, of Clarkesville, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021. Born in Helen, Georgia, on September 21, 1950, Mr. Barrett was the son of the late Cecil J. and Nora Mae Burch Barrett. He was an electronics repairman and the owner and operator of Barrett Electronics. He was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Barrett is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Preston Tribble, brothers-in-law Marty Tribble and Timothy Tribble, and sister in law Lora Tribble Thompson. Survivors include wife LaBrada Mae Tribble Barrett of Clarkesville, sons Brad (Angela) Barrett of Clarkesville and Jeremy Barrett of Alto, brothers Larry (Betty) Barrett of Flowery Branch and Ricky (Judy) Barrett of Clarkesville, sister Lucille Barrett Brown (Leon) of Clarkesville, mother-in-law Velva Forrester Tribble of Lula, sister-in-law Rita Tribble Walker (David) of Alto, grandson Preston Barrett of Clarkesville, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Dr. Keith Allison and Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Interment will follow the service at Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Condolences to the family may be made by visiting www.hillsidememorialchapel.com.
