Mrs. Holcomb's final place of rest is located at Garden of Devotion II, F-1, Space 1. Funeral services for Joyce Miller Holcomb, age 73, of Clarkesville will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Brion Williams and Rev. Dennis Dill will officiate with interment to follow the service in Yonah Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Holcomb died June 5, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Holcomb was born on December 18, 1940 in Stephens County, Georgia. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Holcomb is preceded in death by her father Robert Miller, mother Marie Collins Miller Cobb and step-father Roscoe Cobb. Survivors include her husband Dewey Holcomb of Clarkesville, son and daughter in law Allen and Cindy Holcomb of Mt. Airy, brothers and sisters in law James and Diana Miller of Toccoa, Roger and Gloria Cobb of Toccoa, and Roddy and Vivian Cobb of Eastanollee, sister and brother in law Monteen and Charles Henson of Jenkinsburg, and grandchildren Adam, Daniel, and Thomas Holcomb of Mt. Airy. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
