Robert Earl Brookshire

Mr. Brookshire's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill II, F-2, Space 2. Robert Earl “Bob” Brookshire, age 93, of Clarkesville, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Mr. Brookshire was born on March 11, 1925, in Habersham County, Georgia, to the late Jarrard and Mary Elizabeth Durham Brookshire. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Vera Hallford Brookshire; second wife, Beatrice Mangum Brookshire; son, Dale Richard Brookshire; and great-grandson, Mason Gaily. Mr. Brookshire was a combat veteran with the 8th Infantry in Europe during World War II. He retired from United Merchants and Manufacturing, having served as a Controller in the Clarkesville Division Operations with 37 years of loyal and dedicated service. Bob was a member of Clarkesville Baptist Church. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law: Stanley and Pam Brookshire of Cornelia, Brian and Faye Brookshire of Clarkesville, and Brent and Cheri Brookshire of Clarkesville; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
