Mrs. Evitts' final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill IV, G-6, Space 2. RUTH NORRIS EVITTS, age 81, of Alto, GA, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at her residence, following an extended illness. Mrs. Evitts was born on August 22, 1928 in Coffee County, GA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Bess Kendrick; her husband, Charles Allen "Chuck" Evitts; and her sisters, Reba Merier, Ruby Sprouse, and Cleo Fambrough: and one brother, Solomon Norris. Mrs. Evitts was retired from the Fuller O'Brien Paint Company with 30 plus years of dedicated service. Survivors include her daughter, Amy Stewart, Alto, GA; her son, Allen Evitts, Alto, GA; her son and daughter-in-law, Chaz and Penny Evitts, Lawrenceville, GA; and her 6 grandchildren, Megan Evitts, Rachel Evitts, Blair Stewart, Robyn Stewart, Ryan Davidson, and Ashley Davidson. A private memorial service was held at 2 pm, on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.The family received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, from 6:30 pm until 9 pm.
