Shirley Greeson

Mrs. Greeson's final place of rest is located at Garden of Honor, G-13, Space 3. Shirley Shaw Greeson, age 82, of Braselton, formerly of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Mrs. Greeson was born on September 30, 1935, in Thurmack, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry L. Greeson and sister, Judy Pethel. Mrs. Greeson was a home economist with the Georgia Extension Service with 30 years of loyal and dedicated service. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth G. and Shelley McKenzie of Braselton; son, Stephen L. Greeson of Screven; and grandchildren: Dillan, Ansleigh, Emily, Lauren, and Bailey. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Charles Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Friday, October 13, 2017 and from 1-2 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2017, prior to the service at the funeral home.
