Mrs. Brewer's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill III, E-8, Space 1. THELMA CHAMBERS BREWER, age 97, of Lula, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015. Born in Banks County, Georgia on April 06, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Marion & Ada Chapman Chambers. Mrs. Brewer was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Banks County. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.C. “Bud” Brewer; sister, Clara Mae Gailey; brothers, Walter C. Chambers, & Otho Chambers. Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends. Funeral services are 2 pm Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers all memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to the Flat Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
