Mr. Maznicki's final place of rest is at Garden of Prayer, D-3, Right Front. Theodore Frederick "Uncle Ted" Maznicki died peacefully at his home in Mt. Airy, Georgia on Sunday, September 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth "Betty"; daughter, MaryEllen; parents, John and Mary; brothers, Joseph, Stanley, and Edward; and his sisters, Genevieve Jaworski and Helen Schultz. He is survived by 28 nieces and nephews and their families. Born in Hartford, CT in 1926, he served in WWII with US 6th Infantry Division in the Philippines and the Occupation of South Korea. He attended Central State College under the GI Bill before joining Aetna Casualty & Surety Co. His employment led to residence in Buffalo, NY; Castle Shannon, PA; Bay Village, OH; Orlando and Tampa, FL. He retired as Senior Vice President from Poe & Associates in 1991, and moved to Athens, GA with his beloved Betty. They relocated to Mt. Airy, GA in 2000, following the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. The family wishes to thank the wonderful, caring nurses, staff and volunteers of Hospice of Northeast Georgia for the outstanding care they provided for Ted for the past year. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Helena Catholic Church, 137 Meadow Stream Lane, Clayton, GA. Entombment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions in Ted's honor may be sent to the Benevolent Fund at St. Helena Church, P.O. Box 534, Clayton, GA 30525 or to the charity of one's choice.
